Accessibility Statement

UPDATED 13/05/2026

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA — the current internationally recognised standard (updated October 2023). Our previous statements referenced WCAG 2.1; we are now working towards full WCAG 2.2 compliance. Wildfire Marketing & PR is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Our Commitment

We have invested in resources to improve the accessibility of our website, https://www.thewildfireagency.com/. We believe that all users, regardless of ability, should be able to interact with our content with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.

Conformance Status

Our website aims to conform with the

We use UserWay's Web Accessibility Widget, powered by a dedicated accessibility server, to help improve compliance and usability for visitors with disabilities.

Technical Accessibility Features

Our website includes or is working towards:

  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios (WCAG 2.2 criterion 1.4.3)

  • Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements

  • Alternative text for meaningful images

  • Logical heading structure and reading order

  • Accessible form labels and error messages

  • Resizable text without loss of content or functionality

Known Limitations

We regularly scan our website using UserWay's Accessibility Scanner to identify and address barriers. Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. Known areas include:

  • Older PDFs and Word documents published before 23 September 2018 may not be fully screen-reader accessible. Accessibility regulations do not require us to retrofit documents published before this date if they are not essential to our services.

  • Certain third-party embedded content (e.g. maps, social media feeds) may not be fully under our control.

Any new documents and content we publish will adhere to WCAG 2.2 AA standards unless doing so would impose a disproportionate burden on our resources.
